Beyoncé has earned TIME magazine’s front cover of their 100 Most Influential People in the World issue. After her husband landed the cover last year, the megastar poses on the black-and-white cover in a photo shot by Paola Kudacki. In the issue, Bey talks about her mother and own daughter Blue Ivy being the biggest influential figures in her life:
“I feel like my mother and my daughter have been probably the most influential, and becoming a mother, looking at my daughter in her eyes, made me into a woman and made me very, very strong,” she states.
Bey also talked about feeling very humble for being part of the list: “Shooting for TIME magazine was eventually one of the goals in my life. It’s something important for me as an artist because it’s not about fashion or beauty or music. It’s about the influence I’ve had on culture and to be amongst the other influential people is a huge honor for me.”
President Obama, Pope Francis, Serena Williams, Kerry Washington, Miley Cyrus, and Pharrell Williams were also included on the list. Take a look at Beyoncé’s cover shoot and read more at TIME.com.

She’s made it clear – Nicki Minaj no longer wants to be called a “female rapper”. In a recent interview, Nicki told MTV, “I do not see myself as a female rapper anymore.” Say what? Let’s back up here a little. She still wants to be called a rapper, but she doesn’t want to have to put “female” in front of it because of the respect she’s gained in her career. “I’ve worked with the greats and I’ve held my own with the greats and they respect me,” she said. “So I should respect myself enough to see myself the same way they see themselves.”
During the interview, the Young Money rapper praised Jay Z, Kanye West, and Madonna for paving the way earlier in her career. You can catch the full interview over on MTV.
